31st Congress of Balms Abogados

Balms Abogados has strengthened its service to families and SME´s  with the intention of helping overcome the ravages of the pandemic, according to its president, Juan Luis Balmaseda de Ahumada, at the celebration of the 31st Congress of the firm.

The health situation has also made it necessary to hold the firm's annual congress with the exclusive participation of the partners and adopting all the recommended health measures, such as the obligation to present a negative PCR test. The annual meeting was held in Collado Mediana (Madrid).

The Congress highlighted the boost given to services aimed at helping the firm's SME and family clients to overcome the inconveniences created by the measures adopted by the administrations due to the Covid19 pandemic. "I have to recognise the work of a team that has devoted itself, more than ever, to being close to its clients, supporting them and helping them in all those difficult situations that have arisen in their day-to-day lives throughout this difficult year," said the firm's chairman.

Mr. Jorge Martín Losa, managing partner of the Madrid office, presented the compliance services that the firm is offering to all the businesses that are clients of the firm. In this regard, Mr. Martín Losa highlighted the need for SMEs to implement compliance mechanisms "that exempt managers from any legal problems that may arise in the operation of the company or in the actions of any of its employees".
